Open Joint Stock Holding Company «ELEKTROZAVOD» is known as the leading Russian and world manufacturer of transformer equipment being supplied for all industries including electric-power industry, metallurgy, machine building, transport, oil and gas complex, housing and utilities infrastructure. The first Russian transformer plant founded in 1928 played a decuman role in industrialization of the country and development of domestic power industry. The equipment with ELEKTROZAVOD label has been in safe operation in more than 60 countries of the world.

 

Nowadays Open Joint Stock Holding Company «ELEKTROZAVOD» is the biggest diversified integrated company focused on complex realization of projects for construction, reconstruction and modernization of power facilities. Its organization structure comprises producing and service departments, its own design institute, Engineering Centre.

 

OJSHC «ELEKTROZAVOD» takes part in construction and reconstruction of the power facilities of RAO Unified Energy System of Russia, energy systems of different regions, nuclear power industry, in re-building of the power complex in Chechnya, enterprises of metallurgy, petroleum chemistry, oil and gas complex by making designing, construction and by providing with a definite scale of equipment for projects of generation and distribution of electric and thermal power.

 

OJSHC «ELEKTROZAVOD» co-operates actively with the companies of domestic oil and gas complex like AK “Transneft”, Surgutneftegas, Bashneft, Tatneft, makes a large scope of delivery of special equipment to various divisions of OJSC “Russian Railways”.

 

The Company participates directly in the international Programs for chemical weapons destruction, nuclear-waste disposal and storage being performed in Russia under the auspices of the President of the Russian Federation, in making-up the set of electrical equipment for new nuclear-power submarines under construction and power supply systems of launch missile complexes.

 

The Company offers a wide range of services:

• Development and production of over 3000 type versions of transformer & reactor equipment and switching equipment. The Holding Company comprises two electrotechnical plants which are specialized in manufacture of transformer & reactor equipment (in Moscow) and switching equipment (In Ufa).
• Transportation, erection, diagnostics and repairs of HV electrical equipment which are provided by its own powerful specialized Service Centres with bases in Moscow and Zaporozhye. By utilizing their resources OJSHC “ELEKTOZAVOD” is planning to increase its participation in installation of the equipment to be delivered, diagnostics and maintenance of the transformer and reactor fleet in operation on sites.
• Designing, construction and complex equipping of power facilities including realization of turnkey projects. At that, 70 per cent of them can be equipped with products of our own production and as an option with equipment of leading domestic and foreign manufacturers. The projects are realized by Engineering Centre and Specialized Design Institute “Mosspecproject”.

 

 

The Holding Company comprises two electrotechnical plants which are specialized in manufacture of transformer & reactor equipment and switching equipment. The construction of the new state-of-the-art plant for manufacture of power & distribution transformers and unitized transformer substations began in September 2005.

 

OJSHC «ELEKTROZAVOD» finishes constructing the new state-of-the-art plant in Ufa which has two productions: 35-220 kV power transformers up to 200 MVA and 6-20 kV distribution transformers as well as unitized transformer substations with total output up to 30 million kVA per annum. The manufacture will begin at the end of 2007 with the production of the first 220 kV transformer in the 1 quarter of 2008.

 

The world-famous institute of transformer-building VIT in Zaporozhye is now part of the Company. The institute takes part in the buildup of development strategy for transformer-building in our country and in our company in particular. OJSHC «ELEKTROZAVOD» makes a reconstruction of VIT pilot production. The major task of this production will be to make researches on models of new structures, to manufacture prototype preproduction models, to make check tests, to prepare normative and technical documentation for putting new transformers and reactors up to 630 MVA, up to 750 kV into series fabrication.

 

Besides that it is planned to organize a certification centre like European KEMA on the basis of the VIT test laboratory in order to make integrated HV transformer equipment researches. As of today there is no certification centre like this one in the CIS countries.

 

The engineering solutions developed will be incorporated in all productions of the Company – in Moscow, Ufa and in OJSC «VIT-ELEKTROZAVOD» established on the basis of the enhanced and reconstructed productions of the institute. In the middle of 2008 OJSC «VIT-ELEKTROZAVOD» will start serial fabrication of transformers up to 250 MVA, up to 330 kV.

 

The plan for developing manufacturing capabilities of OJSHC «ELEKTROZAVOD» includes origination of its own productions of types of electrical equipment and accessories which are new for the Company as well as development of organizations which are engaged in engineering in the field of power industry.

 

The Company goes into establishment of joint ventures, obtaining licenses in order to have state-of-the-art production and high-level services. The realization of the OJSHC «ELEKTROZAVOD» development program has already charged investments amounting to approx. 7 milliard rubles and the entire reconstruction forecasts investments amounting to approx. 10 milliard rubles.

 

 

OJSHC «ELEKTROZAVOD» is an ISO 9001:2000 Company. It has an EnCERTICO Certificate of Production Conformity and accreditation of the Rosenergoatom Concern for manufacture and delivery of electrical equipment for power facilities. Engineering Centre of OJSHC «ELEKTROZAVOD» has licenses of Federal Agency for Construction, Housing and Utilities for designing and construction of buildings and structures. Manufacturing Complex ELEKTROZAVOD is approved by Russian Maritime Registry of Shipping as a manufacturer of marine transformers. Test Centre of the plant is accredited by GosStandard of Russia for performing certification tests. All the products produced by the Company have certificates of conformity.
